A Bridgerton inspired wedding can be very expensive because they will need to be extravagant, but it is possible to find on theme decorations for a low price. Below I have listed the essentials for your Bridgerton style wedding along with tips on reducing costs.
1. Flowers
When I am watching a Bridgerton ball, my eye is immediately drawn to the mass amounts of flowers. In my opinion, they are the most important part of hosting a Bridgerton wedding. Unfortunately, florists are usually very expensive. When looking for cheap florals, it is wise to use wholesalers. They sell flowers in bulk (which you will definitely be needing) and they are cheaper than hiring a florist. Buying from a wholesaler will require some extra work because they will most likely come loose and you will need to put them together yourself. This can be a fun project for you and your bridesmaids. Here is a link to the wholesaler that my sister used for her wedding.
2. Colors
When choosing the color scheme for your themed wedding, stick with blue, pink, white and greenery. Your regency era wedding should have soft colors rather than bold ones. Blue was the most popular color of this time period, so utilize it the most.
3. Venue
In the show, the Bridgerton weddings tend to happen indoors, but this does not mean yours cannot happen outdoors. There are many scenes when a soiree took place outdoors. In order for your wedding to feel like one of high society, you must choose a location that reflects that. The key to hosting the perfect Bridgerton themed wedding is by choosing an estate that fits the time period. Here is a link to Haseltine estate in Springfield, Missouri. This would be the perfect location.
4. Table Decorations
The table settings at a Bridgerton meal is extravagant. There are candles, delicate dishes, flowers, beautiful glasses and the cutest little desserts. Luckily, you can easily find antique dishes and glasses at your local thrift store or flea market. As for the flowers, you can use some of the loose flowers that you order from a wholesaler and place them on the tables. The idea look for the lighting is candlelight (if permitted by your venue). Tall, colored candles would pull together your Bridgerton wedding.
5. Wedding Attire
If you want to have the full experience of a Bridgerton wedding, you should ask your guests to dress on theme. That way the decorations, the venue, and the guests will be coherent. Now, when you are choosing your wedding dress and your bridesmaid dresses, you are going to want to search for empire waistlines, puffed sleeves, flowy skirts, and square necklines. The Knot has made a list of Bridgerton inspired gowns. Make sure you don't forgot your gloves!
Good luck hosting your fabulous, Bridgerton inspired wedding. Be sure to email me your photos from your regency era themed wedding.
