Now that you have decided on your wedding venue, it is time to think about the color scheme for your big day. Choosing and executing the color scheme is a very important step in your DIY wedding process. The color scheme decision will ultimately come from your own personal style, but if you are wanting to discover the latest color scheme trends, keep reading.

I have researched five of the most popular 2022 wedding color trends and listed them below.

1. Greenery + White

I have decided to list this color scheme first because it is so timeless. This option is very classic, and you really can't go wrong with it. If you are wanting your wedding to be simple and beautiful, this is an amazing option for you. This trend is not going away, and the wedding pictures will be beautiful throughout the years. Another benefit with this color scheme is that it is easy to accomplish. Your decorations will be easy to color match with one another, and you can always add pops of color. It is an option that has many possibilities. The greenery and white color scheme will be fitting for any season.

2. Soft Blue + Sage

This color scheme is similar to the previous one, but you just add some color with the blue. This option will make your wedding feel very light and airy. Both of these colors are cool tones, so they will have a calming feeling. Soft blue and sage would be a beautiful combination for a spring time wedding. The muted tones of this color pallet will be subtle and simple.

3. Berry

If you are planning a fall wedding, this berry pallet is a very good option. It is a way to incorporate the fall colors without it being boring or basic. This color scheme has hints of purple and red. The berry color scheme is a little more of a bold option, but the turn out will be stunning and unique.

4. Terracotta

If you have been to a wedding recently, you have probably seen this color scheme. While it is not very unique, the reason it is popular is because it is so beautiful. The terracotta colors are pretty neutral and classic. You can mute this color scheme down, or you can amplify it. There is some flexibility with the terracotta pallet. This will be the perfect color scheme if you are wanting a bohemian vibe for your wedding.

5. Jewel Tones

Jewel tones include sapphire blue, emerald green, ruby red, amethyst purple, and citrine yellow. The jewel tone color pallet is one for the bold bride. This color scheme is unique and playful. If you love color and want a fun atmosphere, this pallet is for you. Colors can affect people's moods, so if you are wanting your guests to feel happy and energetic, choose this colorful option. That is something to consider when choosing your wedding color scheme.

I have only listed five options, but there are so many different ways you can add color to your wedding. Pinterest is a great resource for wedding inspiration. Martha Stewart wrote an article on her blog about color scheme ideas. You can check it out here. If none of these color pallets seem to fit your style, you can take a wedding color quiz from bhldn, a very trendy wedding boutique.

I hope you have found this list helpful. Stay tuned for upcoming posts on planning your own wedding.

Tip: If you want your family pictures to be aesthetically pleasing, send your family the color scheme that you choose and ask them to dress within that scheme.
